Our Services

Peer Transportation

At Walton Empowers, we understand transportation's critical role in empowering individuals to thrive in today's economy, particularly those residing in rural areas.

Therefore, we have designed our Peer Transportation to provide people in recovery with access to certified recovery coaches who can safely and comfortably take them to and from various locations, including faith-based support groups, group meetings, job interviews, medication assistance treatment, doctors appointments, recovery events, school, and work.

Through our transportation services, individuals also receive reliable and personalized recovery coaching from compassionate peers.

This essential service has a lasting impact on the success of long-term recovery, and we are proud to play a part in empowering individuals to achieve their goals.

Certified Peer Recovery Coaching

We dedicate our time to connecting individuals in recovery with certified recovery coaches who have the expertise to guide them through their unique recovery journey, wherever it may lead.

Our compassionate coaches are available for one-on-one and group sessions, which we conduct in various settings, including casual social outings or structured meetings at our center.

During these sessions, our certified recovery coaches prioritize self-awareness and self-care, skill-building activities, and promoting individual strengths and interests.

Our mission is to provide recovery support to individuals through advocacy, training, and peer support services. Our goal is to empower individuals to achieve long-term recovery and lead fulfilling lives.

Family Preservation/Reunification Service

We understand families' critical role in protecting their children from the dangers of substance abuse. That's why we provide resources, training, and more to support families in our local community.

As a peer-led and driven organization, we connect parents with critical drug prevention resources. We can help parents better communicate with their children about substance abuse, providing coordination of services, training, education, and peer support services to assist parents and families in achieving long-term recovery and preventing future DFCS intervention.

Some of our resources include the Parent Support Meeting, which supports all parents in recovery from substance use disorder and gives them a space to converse about recovery topics concerning their children affected by addiction.

We also provide DFCS Collaboration Training, cultivating relationships with the local DFCS Liaison and assisting in interactions and coordination with DFCS, Family Treatment Courts, and meaningful support while participating in collaborative cross-training.

Additionally, we offer Parent Advocacy Services to help parents develop self-directed care plans, strengthen their parenting skills, and manage their recovery while supporting the coordination of parent-child visitation and strengthening bonding between parents and children.

At Walton Empowers, we are committed to empowering families to achieve long-term recovery and prevent future DFCS interventions. Our resources, training, and peer support services provide families the tools and support they need to protect their children and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

Reentry Services- Forensic Peer Mentors

We understand the importance of supporting individuals returning to their community after being involved in the justice system.

That's why we're proud to offer the Forensic Peer Mentor Program, a collaborative initiative between several government agencies and judicial partners that provides innovative support to returning citizens in Georgia.

Our certified and trained forensic peer mentors use their experiences to help individuals facing similar challenges, such as finding stable housing, employment, benefits, reliable transportation, and recovery resources. Through this program, our mentors serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration, offering critical transition resources for reentry and helping to strengthen our community's workforce.
